The Clogau team have taken their inspiration for the Dwynwen collection from the Welsh patron saint of lovers, St Dwynwen. St Dwynwen’s Day is celebrated in Wales on 25 January. Dwynwen was a 4th century Welsh Princess who prays for true lovers. It’s seen as one of the most romantic days of the year in Wales, where people exchange gifts, carve lovespoons and cwtch up in front of a warm fire on a cold winter’s evening.
Each piece of jewellery from the Dwynwen collection features rare Welsh gold making them forever treasures. The gemstone opal is also used within the design. Opal is the birthstone for October as well as being the gemstone for 14th wedding anniversaries. Enjoy!
