[Swahili] /Kamaria/: moonlight.
Kamaria was founded by two cousins, Ellie and Kristen, who are survivors of sexual assault. 10% of all proceeds of Kamaria’s jewellery goes to benefit Restore Dignity, and the survivors they support. Ellie and Kristen want to create a supportive community, and share feelings of validation, dignity, and hope, to everyone. Kamaria means ‘moonlight’ in Swahili, with the message that “even in the dark of night, the moon provides a beacon of light and hope”.
